Under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, CAB Special Batteries Ltd are a 'Producer' of 'Industrial' batteries and as such, are obliged to take back waste batteries supplied to an end user for proper disposal. CAB Special Batteries Ltd has contracts in place with several companies to carry out the proper recycling of industrial batteries returned to them.
CAB Special Batteries Ltd is registered with the Business Innovation and Skills, section of the Environmental Agency. Our Batteries Producer Registration Number (BPRN) is BPRN00099.
If any customer of requires us to take back used industrial batteries that we have supplied to them, they should contact the Sales Office at CAB to obtain the necessary authority. When this has been granted, the customer should make the necessary arrangements for the product to be returned to the CAB site in Plymouth. From that point, CAB will take full responsibility for the correct disposal of the batteries, through their established sub-contractors.
